Avilease and SAUDIA Group sign a lease for 20 new aircraft

The Saudia Group and the Public Investment Fund-owned AviLease company, which specializes in aircraft financing and leasing, have signed a sale and leaseback agreement. AviLease will supply 20 Airbus A320neo aircraft under the agreement for flyadeal to operate on long-term leases. AviLease CEO Edward O’Byrne said “AviLease is delighted with this latest development in what has already been a successful opening chapter for our company. We are proud to have SAUDIA Group as a partner, further demonstrating our commitment to the Kingdom, as well as the sector at large. This deal significantly boosts our fast-growing portfolio of cutting-edge, fuel-efficient aircraft, on long-term leases with quality airlines.”

LCI Promotes Terri Foley To Chief Operating Officer

LCI announced the promotion of Terri Foley to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and General Counsel, effective immediately. LCI CEO Jaspal Jandu said “Terri is a tremendous asset to LCI and her elevation is thoroughly well-deserved.  She has worked tirelessly as a leader and as a mentor and will play an integral part of LCI’s growth right across the aviation spectrum.  We are delighted to have someone with her strong experience, knowledge and creativity as our COO and General Counsel.”

Scoot and Castlelake complete sale-leaseback agreement

Four Boeing 787 aircraft with a 12-year lease term were sold and leased back by Castlelake from Scoot Pte Ltd. A division of Castlelake Aviation Limited has acquired the aircraft.

Star Air and Nordic Aviation Capital sign leases for two Embraer 175 aircraft

Nordic Aviation Capital reported that it had signed a lease agreement for two Embraer 175 aircraft with Bangalore based Star Air, a rapidly expanding airline that presently has five Embraer 145 aircraft in its fleet.

Swoop receives a Boeing 737-8 MAX from SMBC Aviation Capital

SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one  Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft MSN 63975. This is the fifth of six aircraft to be delivered to Swoop a subsidiary of Westjet.
