American Airlines Partners with George T. Baker Aviation Technical College
American Airlines has formalised its partnership with George T. Baker Aviation Technical College in Miami to nurture the next generation of aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). The partnership ensures students receive hands-on engagement with American’s Technical Operations team and guarantees top-performing students interviews for positions after obtaining their FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. This collaboration strengthens a long-standing relationship between American Airlines and Baker Aviation, which began with the donation of a McDonnell Douglas MD-80 in 2010. Evie Garces, Vice President of Line Maintenance at American, praised the college's role in aviation education and expressed excitement about continuing to hire their highly skilled graduates.
