PwC Ireland 2025 Aviation Industry Review & Outlook
PwC Ireland's latest report highlights a robust recovery in the commercial aerospace sector, valued at $1.5 trillion. In 2024, airlines operated over 30,000 aircraft, transporting nearly 5 billion passengers. The report anticipates increased aircraft deliveries in 2025, with Boeing leading the rebound. However, challenges such as supply chain disruptions, sustainability concerns, and labor shortages persist. Ryanair's expansion at London Stansted reflects its strategy to capture increased leisure travel demand. The call to eliminate APD highlights ongoing debates about taxation's impact on passenger volumes. If successful, this could set a precedent affecting airline pricing strategies and route profitability.
