AerCap Announces New Engine Order 

AerCap announced a new engine order with Safran Aircraft Engines and Shannon Engine Support for the purchase of 150 new CFM LEAP spare engines valued at approximately $3 billion at list prices. The additional engines will deliver in line with the growing fleet of in-service Boeing 737MAX and Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly, said "The strong operating environment for our engine leasing business and our continued partnership with Safran and CFM International supports the organic growth opportunity we have announced today.”

 

AV AirFinance Arranges Financing For GOAL

AV AirFinance announced the arrangement of a $240 million loan facility with German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG (GOAL), which will be secured by four Airbus A320neo and two Airbus A321neo aircraft. AV AirFinance CEO Stephen Murphy said “We are thrilled to support GOAL and their partners on this significant financing - it was a pleasure to work with the wider GOAL team who trusted us to deliver a fully underwritten solution within a short timeframe. This transaction highlights our platform’s differentiated ability to underwrite large scale financings tailored to customers’ objectives and we look forward to working once again with the GOAL team.”
 

Stratos Partners with The Aviation Impact Accelerator

Stratos and the Aviation Impact Accelerator (AIA) announced a collaboration to accelerate the aviation sector’s transition to net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. Stratos CEO Gary Fitzgerald, said “Aviation is one of the highest-profile and most difficult-to-decarbonise sectors, making it amongst the top sustainability challenges we face. Understanding exactly what is happening and communicating this to policy makers is an important early step in addressing these challenges.
