Air India connects Delhi Hub to Phuket
Air India is to boost connectivity from its Delhi Hub with the launch of a new route to Phuket effective from 15th December 2023, operating four times weekly by a two class Airbus A320neo aircraft. The flight is timed to enable onward connections with Bangkok Airways to and from 10 popular destinations in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.
Air India Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer Nipun Aggarwal said “Phuket is a popular global destination and holds a significant base for business and tourism. We are delighted to welcome Phuket into our network and will continue to expand our connectivity and enhance frequency on domestic and international sectors providing more flexibility of choice to our customers and contributing to the growth in the aviation sector."
IndiGo to become Noida International Airport launch carrier
IndiGo announced it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Noida International Airport (NIA), becoming the launch carrier for the airport. IndiGo and NIA will collaborate to develop and strengthen the air connectivity within Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The first phase of NIA will be operational by the end of 2024, with one runway and terminal building with capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually.
IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers said, “We are thrilled to announce our MoU with Noida International Airport, to become the launch carrier at the upcoming airport. As India’s leading airline, IndiGo has always been at the forefront of enhancing connectivity and giving wings to the nation.
