Air India enters partnership with Arrivia
Air India, and Arrivia, the world’s largest stand-alone travel loyalty provider and a travel technology company, have entered into a partnership for Air India’s Flying Returns loyalty programme. The partnership enables Air India Flying Returns members to earn Reward Points on their cruise trips on more than 40 major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean International, P&O Cruises, Norwegian Cruises, MSC Cruises, Disney Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Costa & Cunard, offering over 30,000 itineraries across the world.
Air India Head of Marketing, Loyalty & E-Commerce Sunil Suresh, said "We are committed to making Flying Returns a truly world-class loyalty programme, and this exciting new partnership with arrivia International is one of the many ways in which we are reimagining Flying Returns. Air India Express Launches Thiruvananthapuram-Riyadh Route
Air India Express is set to launch a brand-new route connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Riyadh, commencing 9th September operating weekly. The new route is expected to cater to a diverse market segments, including business travellers, expatriates, and tourists.
IndiGo Enhances Asia Connectivity
IndiGo announced a new route from its Coimbatore base to Singapore operating daily from 27 October and additional frequencies from its Chennai base to Colombo and Singapore commencing 15 October and in additional frequencies from Mumbai to Kuwait City. The airline stated “These new routes and frequencies aim to enhance international connectivity and bolster mobility between the commercial hubs in Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra, considering the increased demand for business and leisure travel from the states.”
IndiGo Head of Global Sales Mr. Vinay Malhotra, said “We are pleased to further enhance our international connectivity with new / direct additional flights to Singapore, Colombo and Kuwait. With introduction of these flights IndiGo now offers increased connectivity to Singapore (72 flights a week) from 9 cities in India, to Colombo (37 flights a week) from 4 cities in India, and to Kuwait (34 flights a week) from 5 cities in India. These new routes and additional frequencies foster stronger economic and cultural ties and unlock new avenues for trade, tourism, and collaboration.”
London Gatwick launches new Air India service to Bangalore
London Gatwick has launched a new five times weekly Boeing 787 service to Bengaluru (Bangalore) with Air India. Bengaluru is the airline’s fifth destination from London Gatwick, joining existing routes to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi. These Air India flights, alongside TUI’s service to Goa, means there are now 19 flights per week between London Gatwick and India.
London Gatwick VP Aviation Development Stephanie Wear, said “This new service to Bengaluru is excellent news for both passengers and businesses across London and the South East. This city’s dynamic tech industry and cultural significance makes it a fantastic addition to our route network. It’s set to be a popular service, providing fantastic opportunities for both tourism and trade.”
