Avelo Airlines opens Las Vegas Base
Allegiant Air secures aircraft delivery financing
Allegiant Travel Company announced it has secured financing commitments for seven Airbus A320 and four Boeing 737 MAX aircraft from BNP Paribas and Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) The structured $412 million deal combines banking and lessor capital to secure Allegiant's aircraft financing until 2024Q2. Allegiant Air Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Robert Neal, said "We are delighted with BNP Paribas and Jackson Square's creativity in providing what we believe is an efficient framework that affords us robust liquidity to support foundational investments in our fleet. This transaction taps into young A320 CEO aircraft and will also serve as the inaugural financing for our Boeing 737 MAX equipment."
Avelo Airlines opens Las Vegas Base
Avelo Airlines opened its Las Vegas base with one Boeing 737-700 aircraft operating six routes and is considering adding a second 737 in 2024 to enable further route expansion. Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, “As they say, What Happens in Vegas, Can Only Happen in Vegas, and that makes Las Vegas a winning bet for our sixth base. We are excited to start the exclusive nonstop access to Vegas that Avelo’s new base will offer our Customers from these six communities, with more to come in the future. LOT Polish Airlines Extends JetBlue Airways Cooperation
LOT Polish Airlines announced extended partnership with JetBlue Airways, expanding interline agreement to a code-share agreements leveraging their perspective hubs to enhance connectivity. The codeshare agreement will open new opportunities between the two carriers to provide passengers from Poland with connections to such popular destinations as Boston, Orlando, Detroit Las Vegas, Atlanta, or Washington DC and Jetblue links to both Poland and destinations in Central and Eastern Europe. Director of the LOT Polish Airlines Network Department Robert Ludera, said “We are delighted to announce a codeshare agreement with JetBlue. This partnership means that LOT Polish Airlines is broadening the range of travel options for its customers between Poland and the US, using JetBlue’s extensive route network. On the other hand, we will welcome our partner’s customers on LOT flights and directions in our flight network, offering them links to both Poland and destinations in Central and Eastern Europe.”
TAAG Angola Airlines Renews Fleet with Boeing 787’s
TAAG Angola Airlines announced the carrier has selected the Boeing 787 to renew its fleet with an order for four aircraft. TAAG Angola Airlines CEO Eduardo Fairen, said "Our goal is to work with the best manufacturers in the world towards a multi-type fleet, in order to ensure we have the appropriate airplanes for each flight typology, namely our intercontinental connections. The 787 option suits our intent for modern, size-wise and efficient equipment, able to progressively replace our current widebody fleet, and provide our customers with an improved flight experience."
