Aviation Capital Group (ACG) finalizes Boeing 737 MAX order
The Aviation Capital Group (ACG) announced finalization of an order for 13 Boeing 737 MAX order (seven 737-8 and six 737-10), increasing its order book to 47 aircraft. Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) Senior Vice President and Chief of Aircraft Operations, Steven Udvar-Hazy said “We are pleased to expand ACG’s commitment to the 737 MAX program. This additional order will allow ACG to highly offer fuel efficient and versatile aircraft to our airline customers worldwide.”
Condor announces new Frankfurt to Miami International Airport route
Condor announced the launch of a new Frankfurt to Miami International Airport route for Summer 2024 operating three times weekly between May and September operated by Airbus A330-900 aircraft. Condor CEO Ralf Teckentrup said "North America is particularly popular with traveller’s, which is why we are happy to provide our guests with even more flight options. In summer 2024 we will be offering additional destinations as well as more connections to the most popular destinations in North America. New to the flight schedule is Miami in Florida, and Calgary in Canada returns to the route network as an ideal starting point for round trips."
Hawaiian Airlines announces Boeing 787 route network
Hawaiian Airlines announced the launch of its two class 300 seat Boeing 787-9 route network for Summer 2024. The aircraft will operate from Honolulu (HNL) to Los Angeles and San Francisco and , and Maui to Los Angeles. The first of twelve aircraft will be delivered in January 2024 customized to Hawaiian Airlines requirements. Hawaiian Chief Marketing Officer Avi Mannis said "Our 787's uniquely Hawaiian design and comfort, paired with the award-winning hospitality of our crew, will create an unparalleled experience for our guests on their travel to the islands.”
United Airlines and Emirates expand codeshare partnership
United Airlines and Emirates announced expansion of their codeshare partnership to include nine destinations in Mexico. This marks the first time Emirates has extended its codeshare network outside the United States from Emirates Airlines existing routes from Dubai to Chicago and Houston effective from 14 September. According to the Emirates press release the most frequented destinations for global travellers embarking from points in Mexico include India, Israel, South Africa and select points in Southeast Asia and UAE.
