Aviation Capital Group (ACG) Increases Boeing 737 MAX Commitment

Aviation Capital Group (ACG) and Boeing announced finalization of an order for 35 737 MAX aircraft, including 16 737-8 and 19 of the larger 737-10. Following an incremental 737 MAX order last year, this new purchase increases ACG’s 737 MAX commitment to 82 orders as ACG grows its portfolio to meet increasing customer demand for fuel-efficient aircraft. Aviation Capital Group (ACG) CEO & President Thomas Baker, said “This firm order for additional 737 MAX aircraft enhances the strategic value of ACG’s order book, supports a key pillar of our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to invest in modern and fuel-efficient aircraft technology. DHL Express to place Boeing777F’s with China's Central Airlines

DHL Express announced signature of a letter of intent (LOI) with Chinese airline, Central Airlines, planning to hand over two DHL B777 freighters to the carrier for operation as part of a CMI agreement. This will be the first time that DHL Express has handed over its fleet aircraft to a domestic cargo airline for maintenance and operation. DHL Express Executive Vice President of Global Network Operations and Aviation Business Travis Cobb, stated "China is not only the world's factory, but also a global market. It has always been the largest shipping country on DHL Express's North American trans-Pacific trade route and the largest trading partner of Europe. The partnership with Central Airlines is part of our long-term investment in routes in China. Through long-term investment, we will continue to develop new routes, improve route flexibility and continuously optimize our aviation network."

 

First 777-200LRMF Cargo Loading System delivered to Mammoth Freighters

Mammoth Freighters announced it has received the first complete shipset of the Collins Aerospace cargo loading system for the Mammoth Boeing 777-200LRMF passenger-to-freighter conversion. This delivery milestone is the result of three years of close collaboration between Mammoth and Collins to optimize the system for the 777 passenger-to-freighter market. Mammoth Vice President of Operations, Cameron France said “It is Mammoth’s mission to develop one of the most productive and economical long-range freighters in the world by incorporating fundamentals which exceed the current and future demands of the widebody freighter market. The specialized 777-200LRMF cargo loading system is an essential element that builds on Collins’ proven powered widebody freighter technologies.”

 

Textron Aviation Delivers First Cessna SkyCourier Combi to Everts Air

Textron Aviation announced the delivery of the first Cessna SkyCourier twin-engine utility turboprop equipped with a Combi interior conversion option. The aircraft was delivered to Everts Air, an Alaskan-based Part 135 operator serving passenger, cargo and charter needs throughout Alaska. The recently certified option adds more flexibility to the 19-seat passenger variant of the aircraft by allowing operators to modify the interior to accommodate passengers and cargo at the same time. Everts Air Owner Robert W. Everts, stated “I look at the Cessna SkyCourier as a next generation aircraft for Bush Alaska. The SkyCourier Combi will allow us to be flexible and serve the unique needs of citizens in remote communities. Along with offering the reliability of a Cessna, the aircraft is highly adaptable and the ultimate solution for air freight and passenger support in Alaska.”
