Breeze Airways increases Airbus A220-300 Commitment
Air Lease Corporation places new Boeing 787’s with Thai Airways International
Air Lease Corporation announced long-term lease agreements for three new Boeing 787-9 aircraft with Thai Airways International for delivery in 2025 from ALC’s order book with Boeing. Air Lease Corporation Executive Chairman Steven F. Udvar-Házy, said “We are pleased to announce this transaction for three new Boeing 787-9 aircraft with new customer, Thai Airways International. ALC is honoured to add these three Dreamliner aircraft to Thai Airways’ growing widebody fleet and we look forward to a long-term relationship with the airline.”
American Airlines receives US DOT for New York JFK to Tokyo route
American Airlines announce it will launch a new route service between New York (JFK) and Tokyo’s convenient downtown Haneda Airport (HND) commencing 28 June, complementing existing flights with joint business partner Japan Airlines. The route will be operated daily using Boeing 777-200(ER) aircraft. American Airlines Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning Brian Znotins, said “American looks forward to launching flights between JFK and HND this summer. This new service will complement flights offered by our joint business partner, Japan Airlines, giving more ways for our customers travel between the U.S. and Japan.”
Breeze Airways increases Airbus A220-300 Commitment
Breeze Airways announced it has disclosed an order for 10 additional Airbus A220-300 aircraft, bringing the airline’s total firm order for the aircraft type to 90, making Breeze the third largest global customer for the Airbus A220. Airbus EVP Sales, Commercial Aircraft, Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, said “The aircraft offers efficient operations and an outstanding passenger experience, all while operating with the world's lowest small single-aisle carbon footprint and a lower noise footprint in the communities where it flies. This additional order from Breeze is a strong endorsement for the value and opportunities offered by this latest generation aircraft.”
Delta Airlines launches seasonal route from LAX to Brisbane
Delta Airlines announced the launch of a new seasonal route from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Australia, which will operate three times per week from 4 November 2024 to March 28, 2025 using Airbus A350-900 aircraft with four product experiences Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin. Delta Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito, said “With this addition of Brisbane, Delta’s upcoming winter schedule will offer our customers up to 17 weekly flights between the U.S. and Australia. This marks our most extensive schedule to the South Pacific to date, and as we build our presence in the region, we know our customers will enjoy the enhanced experience consistently provided by Delta.”
