Cathay Cargo launches new brand campaign
Cathay Cargo marked the launch of its first marketing campaign, “We Know How”, with a special ceremony held at Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited’s (HAECO) hangar facility at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The event formally introduced the newly branded Cathay Cargo Boeing 747-8F to receive the new livery. Cathay Cargo Director Tom Owen said “Our brand combines innovation, people, solutions, and service. Combined with our freighter fleet, our rebuilding passenger cargo belly network, and Hong Kong’s logistics capabilities, we have the quality and expertise needed to thrive in all market conditions. We are investing in our brand so that we can continue to grow and build on Hong Kong’s position as the leading air cargo hub. Our brand displays the pride in our achievements, but also our ambitions to move forward – and our optimism for the future of air cargo and our home of Hong Kong.”
CDB Aviation leases six Boeing 737MAX’s to Turkish Airlines
CDB Aviation announced the signing of lease agreements for a series of six Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft Turkish Airlines. The aircraft for delivery in 2024 & 2025 will be operated by AnadolouJet. CDB Aviation Chief Executive Officer Jie Chen, said We’re delighted to have signed these new lease agreements with our valued customer, Turkish Airlines, for the financing of the upcoming six 737 MAX aircraft deliveries from our orderbook. Turkish has become a leader among airlines in undertaking sustainability-focused initiatives to modernize every stage of their flight and ground operations. These highly efficient aircraft will bring Turkish closer to achieving their ambitious sustainability goals by lessening the environmental footprint of their mainline and subsidiary carrier’s flight operations.”
China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) announces new CFO
China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) announced the appointment of Mr Conrad Lia as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective 1st July, manging CALC’s strategic planning, financing, investor relations, corporate secretarial and listing rule compliance affairs, and accounting matters.
Hong Kong Airlines Reinstates Sanya Route
Hong Kong Airlines reinstated daily flights between Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Sanya effective from 1st July operated by Airbus A320 aircraft. Hong Kong Airlines Chairman Mr Hou Wei said: "Hong Kong Airlines is proud to be the first airline to operate in the newly expanded and modernised international terminal of Phoenix Airport. Since our inaugural service to Sanya in 2007, this city has been one of our key destinations. We are delighted to reconnect with the city as we rebuild our network. Coupled with our daily direct service to Haikou, we have established our presence in Hainan and demonstrated our commitment to the province. I am confident that by collaborating closely with the local authorities and businesses, we can forge stronger bonds between these two amazing tourism and culture hubs and contribute to their economic growth."
