Cathay Pacific Enhances Boeing 777-300(ER) fleet with New Premium Economy
Cathay Pacific is on track to transform the passenger experience with a new premium economy class product with its new fleet of Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Cathay Pacific General Manager Customer Experience and Design Vivian Lo said “Whether it’s refreshing the inflight experience with new cabin products, creating memorable wining and dining experiences, enhancing our award-winning inflight entertainment experience, and much more, our investments in augmenting the customer experience are all part of our continuous efforts to become one of the world’s greatest service brands – and, from there, the best premium airline.”
China Eastern Airways adds sixth Comac C919
China Eastern Airways announced the delivery of its sixth Comac C919 aircraft. According to China Daily News 28 May, its first five C919 jets have conducted 2,181 commercial flights and 6,090 flight hours, carrying 300,000 passengers. China Eastern Airways Chairman Wang Zhiqing, said "China Eastern has achieved breakthroughs in the commercial operation of the C919 large aircraft, with the fleet size of C919 rising from zero to one and from one to five. Now we are in the process of achieving further breakthroughs by expanding the fleet size from six to over 100. We will further improve the operational efficiency and market competitiveness of the C919 aircraft so that the C919 can fly more steadily, farther, wider and better.”
China Southern Airlines relaunches British Airways Codeshare
China Southern Airlines announced relaunch of its British Airways codeshare agreement. British Airways stated its customers travelling from London via Beijing or Shanghai have the option to connect “seamlessly” onto China Southern Airlines’ flights to a total of 10 domestic destinations in China. China Southern Airlines have the option to connect onward to a total of nine UK destinations, including Belfast, Edinburgh, Manchester.
Xiamen Airlines to boost Xiamen-Amsterdam service
Xiamen Airlines announced its increasing frequency on Xiamen to Amsterdam from three times weekly to a daily service for Summer peak season from 24 June to 15 September 2024. The route is served by a two class 287 seat Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
