China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) delivers final Air India A320Neo
China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) announced that the Group has finalized the last of nine new Airbus A320NEO deliveries to Air India in Toulouse, France. China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) President and Chief Commercial Officer, Ms. Winnie Liu said “As the aviation market in the region experiences swift growth, we are excited to contribute to enhancing Air India’s fleet, thus reinforcing its position as a premier global airline. China Southern Airlines and Malaysian Airlines expand codeshare agreement
China Southern Airlines and Malaysia Airlines announce the expansion of their codeshare flights to include three new routes Guangzhou-Penang and Kuala Lumpur to Beijing Daxing and Shanghai Pudong. To meet market demand China Southern Airlines aims to boost its capacity in the Malaysian market to 73 flights per week. China Southern Airlines Deputy Director General of the Commercial Steering Committee and Senior Vice President of the Marketing Division Mr. Zhang Dongsheng said, “Under the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, China Southern Airlines will continue to leverage its network advantages to explore new opportunities with Malaysia Airlines, and deepen our cooperation in more fields, aiming to bring greater air travel experience for all passengers.”
CDB Aviation delivers A330-300P2F to Sichuan Airlines
CDB Aviation announced it held a joint grand ceremony at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport on July 9, 2024, to mark the delivery of a second Airbus A330-300 Passenger to Freighter on lease to Sichuan Airlines. CDB Aviation CEO Jie Chen, said “We are thrilled to be joining our partners at Sichuan Airlines in celebrating this significant 200th aircraft milestone in the airline’s impressive regional and international growth story. CDB Aviation congratulates the Sichuan Airlines team on achieving their leading position among airlines in Western China and its growing role as an international airline in both the passenger and cargo markets.”
Central Airlines to operate B777F’s for DHL Express
DHL Express announced signature of a letter of intent (LOI) with Chinese airline, Central Airlines, planning to hand over two DHL B777 freighters to the carrier for operation as part of a CMI agreement. DHL Express China CEO Wu Dongming, said "The signing of the LOI is an important milestone in the process of establishing a partnership and promoting the agreement between the two parties. It is also another important measure for DHL Express to invest in and deepen the Chinese market and establish and deepen partnerships with domestic companies. The cooperation with Central Airlines will further consolidate our international cargo route capacity from China to overseas, while providing more convenience and higher timeliness for domestic companies to 'go global'."
