ATSG Subsidiary PEMCO Names GAMECO as New Passenger-to-Freighter Aircraft Conversion Provider
PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO), a division of Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services (AMES) and wholly owned subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. has announced an agreement with China-based MRO Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO) to perform B737-700, -400 and -300 passenger-to-freighter conversions in the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement follows the launch of PEMCO’s B737-700 FlexCombiTM and Full-Freighter conversion programs announced April 25, 2017.

China Aviation Supplies Holding Company signs GTA for 140 Airbus aircraft
China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS) has signed with Airbus a General Terms Agreement (GTA) for the purchase of a total of 140 aircraft. The agreement comprises of 100 A320 Family aircraft and 40 A350 XWB Family aircraft, reflecting the strong demand of Chinese airlines in all market segments including domestic, low cost, regional and international long haul.
China contributed to half of Boeing’s 571 orders won at Paris Air Show
Boeing broke the record at the recent Paris Air Show by landing 571 orders and commitments, with a total value of $74.8 billion, compared with Airbus’ 326 orders at $18.5 billion. Boeing’s newly launched 737 Max 10 won 361 of those orders from 16 global customers. Of the total 571 orders, Chinese companies (Xiamen Airlines, Ruili Airlines, China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co., China Aircraft Leasing Group, and Tibet Financial Leasing) ordered 275 planes.
