BOC Aviation Announces Opening of New York Office BOC Aviation announced 10 July the opening of a new office in New York City, its latest overseas office after Dublin, London and Tianjin. The New York office is to be co-located with the Bank of China offices at 1045 6th Avenue and will be led by Matt Baumgarth, Executive Vice-President for Airline Leasing and Sales (Americas). Mr. Baumgarth was previously based in London as Senior Vice-President for Capital Markets. With his two decades of experience in the aviation finance industry with North American airlines and investment banks, Mr. Baumgarth will continue to build on the Company’s strong presence in the North American market. BOC Aviation Delivers second Airbus A320NEO to Vistara BOC Aviation delivers the second of seven Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Vistara. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. CDB Aviation Lease Finance Delivers 737-800 to Fuzhou Airlines CDB Aviation, a wholly owned Irish subsidiary of CDB Leasing announced 12 July the delivery of one Boeing 737-800 to Fuzhou Airlines. China Aircraft Leasing mulls widebodies as Asia demand rises China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Ltd is looking to add more widebody aircraft to its fleet as the Hong Kong-based lessor races to tap surging demand from airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. Widebodies tend to have better returns on rentals and they will account for a maximum of 20% of CALC’s fleet, Chief Executive Officer Poon Ho Man said in a telephone interview The company currently has 89 aircraft. including some A330s, and counts Air China Ltd, AirAsia Bhd and ANA Holdings Inc among its customers. China Aircraft Leasing seeks overseas customers with aggressive fleet expansion China Aircraft Leasing Group(CALC) aims to expand its fleet by a fifth to no less than 100 aeroplanes this year and build a 50:50 mix of overseas and domestic clients by 2022, said chief executive Mike Poon. In 2014, CALC placed a US$10 billion order with Airbus for 100 of its A320 jets. He said the company is on schedule to expand its fleet size to 232 aircraft by 2023 after the Boeing order. China's CAAC Issues Production Certificate for COMAC's ARJ21-700 Aircraft Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has secured a production certificate (PC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to begin the mass manufacture of its ARJ21-700 regional aircraft. The PC was preceded by the issuance of the type certificate (TC) and marks the transition from design and development to batch production of ARJ21-700 aircraft. The certificates show COMAC's ability to establish a quality management system that meets the CAAC requirements of airworthiness regulations associated with aircraft production.
