China Airlines signs AMA agreement with Airbus  China Airlines and Airbus signed the Airbus MRO Alliance (AMA) agreement, becoming the first initial member to sign the contract with Airbus. China Airlines and Airbus signed a MoU in Dec-2016 to cooperate in engineering and maintenance. The goal is to comprehensively upgrade China Airlines engineering, MRO and technology capabilities through Airbus support, and to join Airbus' maintenance and training network to increase sales of related services.  Chengdu Airlines Seeks CAAC Approval To Fly Internationally    Chengdu Airlines has applied for permission to fly internationally, said the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). China’s Spring Airlines to use A320neos on longer routes China’s Spring Airlines plans to introduce much longer routes when it begins receiving Airbus A320neo family aircraft in the second half of this year. COMAC aims to obtain C919 jet's Chinese certification by the end of 2020 Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) aims to obtain type certification from China for its narrowbody C919 jet by the end of 2020, putting the OEM on track to meet its 2021 goal of delivering the first aircraft to its launch customer. The COMAC C919 currently has 815 orders from 28 customers. Hainan starts first direct Dublin-Beijing service Dublin Airport welcomed the start of Hainan Airlines' new direct service from Beijing to Dublin.  The year-round service is Dublin Airport's first ever direct route to mainland China and marks a major milestone for the Irish economy. The Chinese carrier will operate Dublin to Beijing direct with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays and via Edinburgh on Thursdays and Sundays.
