BOC Aviation Delivers A320neo to Uzbekistan Airways

BOC Aviation announced the first of four new Airbus A320neo deliveries to Uzbekistan Airways powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. BOC Aviation Managing Director & CEO Robert Martin said “We are delighted to deliver the first of another four A320NEO aircraft to Uzbekistan Airways and are looking forward to supporting the airline’s growth plans. This transaction reflects our strategy to build a portfolio of latest technology aircraft.”

 

Cathay Cargo Awarded Cargo Airline of the Year

Cathay Cargo announced it was awarded for “Cargo Airline of the Year” at a gala dinner in Istanbul at the 49th Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards produced by Air Transport World (ATW). Cathay Pacific Director Cargo Tom Owen said “We are honoured to be recognised with this major award decided by so many industry experts, and we are very grateful to Air Transport World. It reflects the progressiveness of our cargo colleagues around the world in responding to the needs of our customers and their can-do spirit in delivering operational excellence. Already this year, we have kept up the momentum by introducing Cathay Mail, which brings greater shipment visibility to our postal customers, and inaugurating commercial multi-modal shipments from our extended home base of the Greater Bay Area by accepting shipments by sea from the Hong Kong International Airport Logistics Park in Dongguan.”

 

China Eastern Airlines reconnects Shanghai and Madrid

China Eastern Airlines announced it to reconnect Shanghai and Madrid effective from 20 June operating five times weekly using two class Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

 

Hainan Airlines to Restart Beijing to Dublin route

Dublin Airport has welcomed the return of direct Hainan Airlines service between Beijing and Dublin, commencing 27 June operating twice weekly using Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Dublin Airport Chief Commercial and Development Officer Vincent Harrison said “The news that direct flights are re-starting between Dublin Airport and China is great news for our passengers. The service was very popular with passengers last time around and we’re delighted to see it returning for the summer months.”
