ACSS Collaborates To Demonstrate ADS-B In in China
ACSS announced 7 December the first successful in-flight ADS-B In demonstrations in China using jets. The demonstrations were performed with three Airbus A321s on approach to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and were conducted in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Juneyao Airlines and Airbus.
Air China Launches New Non-Stop Service Between Shenzhen and Los Angeles
On December 7, the inaugural flight for Air China's non-stop route between Shenzhen and Los Angeles will take off from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. The new route adds to Shenzhen's growing portfolio of international long-haul routes and will help to promote economic and cultural exchange between southern China and the U.S. West Coast. In 2016, more than 5 million tourists travelled between China and the U.S., while China became the top destination for U.S. travellers in the Asia Pacific. Los Angeles also became the first U.S. city to welcome over one million Chinese visitors in the space of a year.

BOC Aviation delivered an Airbus A320-200 aircraft to Tigerair Taiwan. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book.
CALC Celebrates its 100th Aircraft Delivery by Taking its First Airbus A320neo to US carrier Frontier Airlines
CALC celebrated its 100
th aircraft delivery with the debut delivery of an Airbus A320neo passenger jet to Frontier Airlines. This is the first new engine option aircraft that CALC has added to its fleet, and the first that the Group has delivered to a US airline, Frontier Airlines. CALC will deliver four aircraft to airlines belonging to Indigo Partners before the end of the year, namely two A320neo aircraft to US-based Frontier Airlines and two A320ceo aircraft to the Chilean airline JetSMART.
CALC takes first A320neo for Frontier Airlines
China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) has accepted its first Airbus A320neo, and handed it over to Denver-based Ultra LCC Frontier Airlines. CALC has 68 A320neo family aircraft on order and 147 Airbus aircraft in total in its orderbook.
Europe And China Agree To Boost Aviation Cooperation
The EU and China are set to sign two agreements that aim to strengthen their aviation cooperation by facilitating market access and boosting the competitiveness of the EU’s aeronautical sector, the European Commission (EC) said. The Bilateral Civil Aviation Safety Agreement: Will remove the unnecessary duplication of evaluation and certification activities for aeronautical products by the civil aviation authorities, therefore reducing costs. The Horizontal Aviation Agreement: Marks China's recognition of the principle of
EU designation, whereby all EU airlines will be able to operate to China from any EU Member State with a bilateral air services agreement. Until now, only airlines owned and controlled by a given Member State or its nationals could operate between that Member State and China.
ICBC Leasing signs for 55 more C919s
ICBC Leasing has committed to another 55 Comac C919 narrowbodies, making it the Chinese manufacturer's largest customer. The framework purchase agreement, signed on 5 December in Beijing, brings the lessor's commitment for C919s to 100. The boost from ICBC Leasing brings the total number of commitments for the C919 to 785.
The United Kingdom and China Further Relax Limits on Flights
Britain’s regions are set for an economic boost after a landmark agreement for a 50% boost in the number of flights allowed between the UK and China. Transport Secretary Chris Grayling unveiled the deal, which allows for a huge expansion in routes from regional airports, potentially boosting local economies by hundreds of millions of pounds by opening up new business and tourism opportunities. The announcement builds on successful discussions in October 2016 that saw limits on passenger flights between the 2 countries raised from 40 per week to a maximum of 100.
