Air China Beginning Beijing-Athens Service Air China will launch a new nonstop route between Beijing and Athens on 30 September. The service will be operated twice a week with Airbus 330-200 aircraft, with flights lasting 10.5 hr. The Beijing-Athens service will bring the total of Air China’s European routes to 26. Air China to commence direct flights between Beijing and Brisbane Air China will commence new directs flight between China’s capital city, Beijing, and Brisbane from December and the airline will deploy Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the route. The service will operate four times per week, arriving and departing Brisbane on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Air China, Brisbane Airport’s 32nd airline partner, is the home airline of China’s mega-hub, Beijing Capital Airport. Airbus delivers China’s 100th Ecureuil helicopter to CMIG Leasing CMIG Leasing received a brand new H125 helicopter from Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, France, making it the 100th Ecureuil family helicopter to operate in China’s skies. This helicopter will be operated by the Shanghai Skyway General Aviation Company (Skyway GAC), one of the pioneers in China general aviation, with a fleet of seven H125s. Skyway GAC will deploy this new helicopter for power line surveillance, geographic surveys and aerial videography missions in the country. Anac signs agreement with China to expand air services Measure will benefit both companies that already operate between the two destinations as companies of other nationalities. The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Chinese aviation authority signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to expand the air services agreement between the two countries. With the agreement, there will be no further route restrictions between countries, which will allow airlines operating between the two destinations to expand their services. BOC Aviation leases second Airbus A321-200 to Juneyao Airlines BOC Aviation announced 15 September the delivery of the second of five Airbus A321-200 aircraft to Juneyao Airlines. This aircraft is from the Company's existing order book. CMIG Leasing Signs LOI for Two H225 Helicopters CMIG Leasing (previously known as CMIFL) and Airbus Helicopters have signed an agreement to deepen their cooperation in civil helicopter operations including navigational operation and low-altitude air tourism. Both parties will also work towards expanding this cooperation to the public services segment, including police aviation, emergency medical services (EMS), and forest firefighting. COMAC eyes 750 orders for C919 jet Orders for the C919, the first large passenger aircraft produced in China in accordance with international civil aviation regulations, are expected to reach 750 by year's end, corporate officials told China Daily. "We expect to receive more than 100 new orders for the C919 from some Chinese companies in the coming months," said Xu Pei, deputy chief of the marketing division of Commercial Aircraft Corp of China, the plane's Shanghai-based manufacturer. Embraer Mulls China Return With Factory for Passenger Jets Embraer SA is likely to consider building a commercial-aircraft factory in China in two years, Chief Executive Officer Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva said, marking a potential shift in strategy after the company shut down its private-jet plant in the Asian country in 2016. The Brazilian planemaker will wait for the rollout of its first E195-E2 aircraft in 2019 before it starts deliberating on the China plan, Silva said in an interview Friday in Singapore. The plant would be the company’s first overseas factory for passenger planes. Latin America to see increasing links with expanding China market, won’t happen overnight: CAPA CAPA - Centre for Aviation executive chairman Peter Harbison, speaking at CAPA's 2017 Latin America Aviation Summit, stated for Latin America, distance, lack of market familiarity and lower trade flows mean that the spread of Chinese travellers (beyond Mexico and Brazil) has so far been relatively limited.
