CDB Aviation Agrees First-Ever Lease for Two A330-300 P2F Aircraft with Mexico’s MasAir CDB Aviation announced the company has reached an agreement with Mexico-based MasAir Cargo for the lease of two Airbus A330-300 Passenger-to-Freighter (“P2F”) aircraft, marking the lessor’s first-ever lease transaction with an airline operator for the aircraft type. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver to MasAir during the first half of 2022. “The medium widebody freighter segment, served nowadays by aging twin-jet aircraft, is poised for growth with the need for a new generation of medium widebody freighters,” asserted Patrick Hannigan, CDB Aviation Chief Executive Officer. “Our decision to enter the A330 P2F conversion market was motivated by the potential of this asset.” China set to launch world's first in-flight 5G China Telecom is running pilots on three domestic routes out of Beijing and is expected to offer commercial service in China. According to reports China Telecom and ZTE are well advanced in building out 5G-based air-to-ground (ATG) communications platforms for passenger airlines expected to become operational in the second half of this year. Collins Aerospace awarded expanded 10-year agreement to support Air China fleet Collins Aerospace announced itss expanding its longstanding support agreement for Air China's aircraft fleet to include next-generation Boeing and Airbus aircraft and additional aircraft systems. The new agreement signed with Ameco - a leading aircraft maintenance and engineering cooperation that supports Air China's fleet - builds on the existing support agreement for avionics onboard all of the airline's Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Under the newly expanded power by the hour program, Collins Aerospace will support Air China's next-generation platforms, along with its existing aircraft. Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen resumes investments and capability build-up as China aviation recovers Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS) has resumed its investments into new capabilities. LTS is currently converting its bonded warehouse to a 2,100 sqm maintenance workshop as well as climate controlled material storage. The corresponding conversion measures are scheduled to be completed in June 2021 and will enable LTS to further build up its capabilities. These will include providing component repair services for more than 70 Honeywell shipped components onboard the Airbus A350, for which the company will be the only licensed facility in Asia-Pacific region.
