Airbus Delivers First A350 from Chinese Completion Center Airbus has delivered the first A350 from its widebody completion and delivery center (C&DC) in Tianjin, China, marking a new milestone in the expansion of its global footprint and long-term strategic partnership with China. The company delivered the A350-900 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines. At the end of June, China Eastern operated an Airbus fleet of 413 aircraft, including 349 A320-family aircraft jets, 55 A330-family aircraft, and nine A350s. “I’m proud that Airbus successfully extended the capability of the widebody C&DC in Tianjin to the A350, the latest new-generation aircraft, at such a difficult time of global aviation,” said George Xu, Airbus executive vice president and Airbus China CEO. “This is  a new milestone in the long-term cooperation between China and Airbus, which further demonstrates Airbus’s commitment to the country.” Overseas aviation enterprises look to expanding presence in China Major players in the aviation industry sent positive signals for deeper cooperation with their Chinese counterparts at the Hunan International General Aviation Industry Expo, which just concluded last week in central China's Hunan Province. Data from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) shows that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), the number of companies in China's general aviation industry rose to 523. Sine Draco Aviation Development Announces the Induction of the Prototype A321-200 SDF for a Heavy Maintenance Visit Sine Draco Aviation Development announced that its prototype A321-200 SDF has been inducted for a 6Y heavy maintenance check at Ascent Aviation Services in Tucson, Arizona.  Conversion of the prototype airplane to the all-cargo configuration is planned to occur immediately following the heavy maintenance check. "The Sine Draco A321-200 SDF program is progressing exceptionally well.  We are nearing 100% drawing release, partners are on contract for all major components and preparations for the airplane modification to the all-cargo configuration are in full swing." says Chief Executive Officer of Sine Draco, Alex Deriugin. "Completing the 6Y heavy maintenance check before modification will allow our team to focus on the critical elements of the A321-200 SDF conversion."
