Chengdu’s new airport launches automated catering facility Lödige Industries has completed the design, delivery and commissioning of an automated catering facility that will optimise catering processes for Air China’s Southwest branch in Chengdu. Lödige delivered a solution for automated warehouse storage and AGV-led transportation, as well as cart and bin storage for the recently inaugurated 40,000 meals per day facility. China Airlines Commits to Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050 China Airlines has officially set its business operations target for "net-zero carbon emissions" by 2050. China Airlines has proactively initiated the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures framework in order to strengthen the corporate mechanism for responding to climate change risks and opportunities. Another initiative is the ECO Travel carbon offsetting program for environment-friendly travel. China Eastern Airlines to schedule two new flights flying from Daxing airport China Eastern Airlines announced  that it schedule two new routes from Beijing Daxing International Airport. The two routes will be routes between Beijing Daxing and Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi Province and Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan Province. China’s HT Aero raises US$500 million in Series A funding HT Aero announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with a consortium of investors to raise over $500 million for its Series A capital funding. The funding round is led by IDG Capital, 5Y Capital and XPeng Inc. with participation by a consortium of renowned investors, including Sequoia China, Eastern Bell Capital, GGV Capital, GL Ventures and Yunfeng Capital. Chairman & CEO of XPeng Inc He Xiaopeng said “The Series A financing will provide us with sufficient resources to advance our research and development, acquire top-tier talent, and to continue to gain airworthiness provision and certification,” said Deli Zhao, founder and president of HT Aero. “Our next-generation model will be a fully integrated flying vehicle and automobile, designed for both low-altitude air travel and road driving.
