ARJ21 aircraft officially join fleets of Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines  China National Aviation Holding Corporation Limited, China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited and China Southern Airlines Company Limited respectively received their first ARJ21 aircraft at Pudong base of the Assembly Manufacturing Center of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) on June 28th, 2020. The simultaneous delivery of the three aircraft marks the official entry of ARJ21 aircraft into the fleets of international mainstream airlines. The three ARJ21 aircraft delivered to Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines this time are in all economy-class cabin configuration with seats for 90 passengers. Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines will respectively receive three ARJ21 aircraft in succession this year. China Express Airlines takes delivery of its first A320neo aircraft China Express Airlines has recently accepted the delivery of its first A320neo aircraft from Airbus Tianjin Delivery Center. Airbus adopted a flexible delivery solution for the aircraft delivery during the pandemic period to help support the smooth operation of the Chinese airline, Airbus China said. The newly delivered A320neo aircraft was assembled in Toulouse, France. In full compliance with the international and domestic health and travel advisories, the aircraft was ferried to north China's Tianjin Municipality for the customer acceptance process and delivery.

China Focus: New Infrastructure to Boost Smart Aviation

China's pledge to develop new infrastructure is adding momentum to the civil aviation industry, and the adoption of smart technologies and digitalization. China, with its continuous economic growth, is the world's second largest civil aviation market, and the new infrastructure is expected to give it an added boost. "Taking the opportunity of the new infrastructure, China's civil aviation industry is expected to generate new technologies, experiences and even standards," said Zheng Hongfeng, CEO of VariFlight, a China-based civil aviation data service provider. By the end of 2021, the CAAC will push forward whole-journey luggage-tracking on all domestic air routes at major airports with an annual passenger throughput of at least 10 million, and by the end of 2025, the service will be used on all domestic air routes and some international routes.

Chinese Airlines Cooperate to Provide Better Services

China Southern Airlines joined with Sichuan Airlines to announce that more air express routes will be created between the cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong province, Chengdu in Sichuan province and Beijing to provide more travel convenience for passengers. According to the plan, the number of flights operated by the two major Chinese airlines between Chengdu and Beijing will reach an average of 16 a day, while the daily number of flights between Chengdu and Guangzhou will come to 14. The daily number of flights between Chengdu and Shenzhen will reach seven, playing a big part in the expansion of cooperation and exchanges between Sichuan in Southwest China and Guangdong. The two airlines also signed a cooperation framework agreement on aviation ground service businesses on the same day. Chinese People Make over 78m Trips During Dragon Boat Festival Holiday   China saw around 78.79 million passenger trips during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday according to an estimation of the Ministry of Transport (MOT). Passenger trips on trains reached 17.76 million during the holiday, while trips via waterway totalled 1.61 million, data from the estimation showed.
