BOC Aviation Delivers Second Of Ten Airbus A320Neo Aircraft To Air China BOC Aviation announced the delivery the second of ten new Airbus A320NEO aircraft to Air China. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, BOC Aviation Robert Martin said “We congratulate Air China’s Southwest Branch on taking delivery of its 100th aircraft, in this significant milestone that reflects the continued importance of China as a market that displays robust air travel demand and growth. BOC Aviation is pleased to continue building on our long-term relationship with Air China, and we look forward to working closely with both Air China and Airbus on the delivery of a further eight A320NEO aircraft.” China Airlines Selects Pratt & Whitney GTF™ Engines to power order of up to 30 A321neo Aircraft Pratt & Whitney and China Airlines announced selection of the Pratt & Whitney GTF™ engine to power an order of up to 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft. The order includes 25 firm A321neo aircraft with purchase options for an additional five aircraft, and represents a combination of new aircraft purchases from Airbus and leased aircraft from ALC and CALC. Pratt & Whitney will provide China Airlines with engine maintenance through a long-term EngineWise® Comprehensive service agreement. Regional Aviation & China-made Aircraft Development Forum 2019 Successfully Held in Xi'an The Regional Aviation & China-made Aircraft Development Forum 2019 was successfully held in Yanliang, Xi'an. Featuring the theme of "Discussing and Sharing Ideas to Promote the In-depth Cooperation of OBOR Civil Aviation", nearly 200 guests from CAAC, Pacific-China Friendship Association, local governments, airport groups, airlines, financial institutions, AVIC and news media as well as civil aviation officials of ten countries attended the event and conducted extensive discussions on topics including the development and cooperation of aviation industries in OBOR countries, building of regional aviation environment in the region, regional aviation and airport operation, and development of China-made regional aircraft. At the event, the Aviation Industry Development Research Center of China also issued a Market Forecast Report for Civil Aircraft in China 2019-2038. Seminar on Transport Aviation Operational Safety 2019 Held The 2019 CAAC-ACP Seminar on the Transport Aviation Operational Safety was recently held in Xiamen. The seminar, focusing on the discussion of continuous operational safety, was jointly organized by CAAC, ACP, the United States Trade and Development Agency and Boeing, aiming to jointly explore ways to effectively enhance the transport aviation operational safety. Shenzhen to Build an International Air Hub in GBA Shenzhen recently revealed a transportation action plan in forging Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport into a key international air hub in Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). By 2035, the ratio of international and regional passenger throughput in Shenzhen Airport will have risen from less than 10% to 25%, as a long-term target of "The Action Plan for Shenzhen to Build an Example in Strengthening China's Transportation System.
