Etihad Airways adds Jaipur 11th destination in India

Air India to introduce premium economy on Airbus A320neo fleet

Air India unveiled a three class configuration business, economy and new premium economy on its newly inducted Airbus A320neo aircraft registered VT-RTW and VT-RTZ. Air India’s A320neo aircraft Initially operating from Delhi to Bengaluru and Chandigarh.

Air India Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director Campbell Wilson said, “The introduction of a three-class cabin to Air India’s narrowbody fleet and commencement of interior refits are important steps in the journey of enhancing the flying experience. The upgrade of the narrowbody fleet, which operates on domestic and short-haul international network, complements the upgraded widebody experience now available on our A350 fleet and new B777s, and on all other widebodies as they are refitted over the next two years. This comprehensive upgradation of Air India’s physical product is an important component of transforming into a world-class airline.”

 

Etihad Airways adds Jaipur 11th destination in India

Etihad Airways commenced 16th June, a new four times weekly service from its Abu Dhabi hub to flights to Jaipur, its 11th destination in India, using Airbus A320 aircraft.

Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves said “With the resurgence of outbound travel from India, we are thrilled to start four weekly flights to Jaipur, a significant cultural and commercial centre. By establishing this crucial air link with Rajasthan, we aim to meet the increasing demand from travellers in and around the region, providing them with convenient access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and seamless connectivity to our extensive global network, while delivering a remarkable flying experience.”

 

IndiGo partners with Garuda Aviation Academy

IndiGo announced a partnership with Garuda Aviation Academy to train fresh pilots as future junior first officers, under the airline's Cadet Pilot Program. This is the eighth partnership for cadet pilot program by IndiGo in the last 13 years. IndiGo has inducted over 1000 pilots through these full training programs, which include commercial pilot license and A320 type rating.

IndiGo Senior Vice President- Flight Operations, Captain Ashim Mittra said, “We are proud to announce our partnership with Garuda Aviation Academy to bolster our Cadet Pilot Program. We believe that this 21-month duration course will successfully foster the next generation of skilled pilots who will continue to uphold IndiGo's commitment to providing safe, affordable, and hassle-free travel, for everyone. Moreover, this initiative aligns seamlessly with the Government of India’s UDAN (“Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik”) mission, fortifying our commitment to connecting with smaller and medium-sized towns and cities. This partnership will provide our people with unique learning opportunities and foster leadership skills, paving the way for a robust cadre of leaders within IndiGo.”
