Global Crossing Airlines fleet expansion cleared by US DOT
Atlas Air and YunExpress Expand Strategic Partnership
Atlas Air announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with YunExpress, a subsidiary of Zongteng Group, by adding a second Boeing 777-200 freighter under a long-term charter agreement. The second 777 freighter will enter service for YunExpress this month operating six weekly routes between China and the United States.

Crestone Air Partners Acquires Boeing 757-300 Portfolio
Crestone Air Partners announced the acquisition of eleven Boeing 757-300 aircraft current on lease to German leisure carrier Condor. Principal, Head of Trading Crestone Air Partners Steve Williamson, said "We are thrilled to welcome these Boeing 757-300 aircraft into our portfolio. This acquisition enhances our current portfolio and signifies the commencement of a promising partnership with Condor."
Global Crossing Airlines fleet expansion cleared by US DOT
Global Crossing Airlines announced it has been approved by the US Department of Transportation increase fleet from 16 to 20 aircraft. The increased fleet authorization allows GlobalX to add two Airbus A320 and two Airbus A321 passenger aircraft to its fleet by Summer 2024, subject to FAA approvals.
GlobalX Executive Chairman Chris Jamroz, said “This increased authorization is a key step in our path to sustained profitability and achieving our goal to become America’s largest charter airline, setting the industry high mark for on-time performance and reliability.”
Hainan Airlines Resumes Seattle Direct Service to Beijing
Hainan Airlines resumed its direct flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Beijing (PEK) from April 2, 2024 operating three times weekly using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Seattle was the first U.S. airport Hainan Airlines chose to serve back in 2008, operating flights until 2019.
Port of Seattle Commissioner Sam Cho said “We’re excited to once again be working with Hainan Airlines. We’re fortunate to be able to offer multiple direct flights to China out of SEA. The return of Hainan is a reflection of the strong relationships we have with our airline partners and the Chinese market. With international travel numbers continuing to grow, both inbound and outbound, we’re working closely with carriers to meet the demand and offer a variety of services and destinations around the globe.”
