Embraer partners with United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund
Embraer announced that the company will join the United Airlines Ventures (UAV) Sustainable Flight Fund SM, an investment vehicle focused on scaling up the supply and availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) through investing in innovative startups. The increase of SAF availability is a key driving factor to achieving aviation sustainability since utilization of renewable energy sources can reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel. Increasing SAF availability is one of Embraer’s targets as it aims to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2040.
Eve Air Mobility and Yugo to collaboration on Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and eVTOL in South East Asia
Eve Air Mobility and Yugo Global Industries Pte. Ltd (Yugo), a Singapore-based aviation company, have announced that the two companies have signature of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to study the potential collaboration for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and eVTOL flights in Southeast Asia. The project will specifically focus on the potential infrastructure requirements to support eVTOL operations including regulations. The companies will also analyse service center and vertiport size and capabilities, ground handling and other areas as needed. Eve is currently working with various key industry stakeholders across the region to collaboratively build the ecosystems and explore future operations in multiple countries.

Hawaiian Holdings Inc announced that its shareholders have voted to adopt the merger agreement with Alaska Air Group, Inc. A substantial majority of the holders of Hawaiian’s stock voted in favour of the merger, according to preliminary results from the special meeting. The transaction remains subject to receipt of required regulatory approvals, along with other customary closing conditions. Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO Peter Ingram said “Stockholder approval of our transaction with Alaska is an important milestone toward combining our airlines. Together, we will bring stronger competition to the U.S. airline industry, deliver more value to our guests and the communities that we serve, and provide greater job opportunities for our employees.”
Textron Aviation delivers Cessna Grand Caravan EX to Malaysian client
Textron Aviation announced the delivery of a new Cessna Grand Caravan EX Amphibian turboprop to Malaysian property developer, Ikhasas Sdn Bhd, via its subsidiary company Oriental Sky Sdn Bhd. The aircraft, to be managed and operated by local charter operator Systematic Aviation Services (SAS), will be used for passenger transport between the capital city of Kuala Lumpur and a new waterfront resort on Perhentian islands, off the northern east coast of Malaysia. This will be the country’s first amphibious aircraft operation in recent history after it gained necessary approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia to launch domestic operations in 2024.
