Air India Launches Innovative learning hub
Air India announced it has launched an innovative learning hub titled "Gurukul.AI." created in tandem with Vihaan.AI, the airline’s five-year transformation programme and will transform Air India into an organization that evolves through continuous learning, to create a powerful impact that drives success and effectiveness. Air India Chief Human Resources Officer Dr Suresh Tripathi, said “The introduction of Gurukul.AI exemplifies Air India’s dedication to cultivating a futuristic-learning experience, attuned to the unique needs of every single employee. In a rapidly changing world, the speed of upskilling and the availability of world-class learning content through digital innovations is imperative. Through this business-driven strategy, we are resolute in transforming Air India into an authentic learning organization.”
IGBC awards Bengaluru International Airport (BLR) T2 with a coveted Platinum Sustainability Rating
The owner of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru (BLR Airport), Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), announced that Terminal 2 has been awarded the prestigious IGBC Platinum certification under the IGBC Green New Building grading system. Bangalore International Airport Ltd CEO & MD Hari Marar said, "I am pleased to announce that Terminal 2 has achieved the coveted Platinum rating from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) under their newly launched IGBC Green New Buildings Rating System. This is a significant milestone for us and a testament to BIAL’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. T2 exemplifies our dedication to implementing green concepts and techniques, showcasing our efforts to conserve natural resources, energy, and water.”
IndiGo reinstates Delhi-Hong Kong Route
IndiGo announced it will be resuming operations daily services from Delhi to Hong Kong in August, further enhancing its route network. The route was suspended three years ago when Covid19 hit and will now be reinstated. Indigo stated "These new flights will unlock remarkable opportunities for both business and leisure travellers seeking seamless connectivity."
Virgin Atlantic India expansion continues with new route to Bengaluru
Virgin Atlantic announced expansion in Indian market with announcement of a new route from London Heathrow to Bengaluru operating daily from 31 March 2024 using three class Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Since 2019, Virgin Atlantic has increased capacity to India by 250%, the airline’s largest area of growth outside the United States. The addition of this new route means the airline will offer 500,000 seats (total) each year between the UK and India.
