We are proud to be bringing this exciting brand with unique design sensibilities, creating a truly innovative and unique space tailored to the needs of passengers.” Greenfield Airport at Hirasar (Rajkot) to boost industrial growth in Saurashtra Region To cater the growing population of the fourth largest city in the state of Gujarat and increasing flow of air traffic in this region, Airports Authority of India has undertaken the work for construction of New Greenfield Airport, Rajkot in Gujarat. With the project cost of Rs. 1405 crores, the new airport is envisioned to be a transportation hub for people traveling abroad from the state. The location of new airport is approximately 30 kms from Rajkot city and on Rajkot-Ahmadabad highway. Runway length is planned for 3040 meters for serving Airbus A321 type of aircraft which will be capable of parking 14 aircraft at a time. Griffin Global Asset Management Announces the Mandate for Purchase and Leaseback of Five Boeing 737-8 MAX Aircraft with Akasa Air Griffin Global Asset Management announced the mandate for purchase and leaseback of five Boeing 737-8 aircraft with Akasa Air, a new airline based in India. The aircraft deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2022 and will include Akasa Air’s first several aircraft. SpiceJet Secures Key Certifications For International Cargo Operations Into EU & UK SpiceJet announced that it has secured RA3 (Regulated Agent Third country) and ACC3 (Air Cargo or Mail Carrier operating into the Union from a Third Country Airport) certifications. The certifications will allow SpiceJet to not only transport mail and cargo on its own airplanes under its Air Operator Permit but also handle cargo and mail of other airlines for transporting to or via the European Union and the United Kingdom. SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director, Ajay Singh said “These certifications are an attestation of our commitment to aviation safety and adherence to the highest and most stringent security standards in our operations.
