Aviation will grow in double digits in India for many years to come – IATA
India is set to become the third largest aviation market by 2025, after the US and China, says the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The global airline industry body also expects Indian aviation to grow in double digits for the next few years.
In-Flight WiFi Soon to Become Reality as Telecom Department Notifies Final Rules
Air passengers will soon have access to WiFi connections onboard aircraft as the Department of Telecom (DT) notified final rule for in-flight connectivity (IFC). According to aviation secretary RN Choubey, parties interested in providing WiFi connections onboard aircraft can now apply to DoT for grant of license, reported Times of India.
NokScoot announces India entry
NokScoot announced entry to the Indian market with non-stop flight services to New Delhi from Bangkok's Don Muang International Airport from December 19. The services on the new route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER.
United Airlines launches new seasonal service between San Francisco and New Delhi
United's new seasonal service between San Francisco and New Delhi enables business and leisure travelers nonstop access from the U.S. West Coast. The new flight will connect customers from more than 80 cities to India with just one stop in San Francisco. United currently offers nonstop service to Mumbai and New Delhi from New York/Newark. Seasonal service begins from 5 December 2019, with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
