Flybig regional airlines to start operation from Agartala next week Flybig is all set to start operation in Agartala from next week. The airline conducted a successful trial run at MBB airport last weekend. The airport authority of India has allocated facilities and parking stands to the airline for two based ATR72’s. Go First partners with DreamFolks, introduces departure lounge service Go First has partnered with tech-driven global airport service provider DreamFolks to offer departure lounge service across select airports in India. With this, Go First aims at making flygofirst.com a one-stop shop for value-added services for its customers. Lounge services are available across 30 domestic terminals and 12 international terminals The amenities available in the lounge services include food and beverages, entertainment, free Wi-Fi and business centre facilities. Hyderabad International Airport uses video analytics to enhance passenger safety GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has implemented Queue Management Systems combining IoT security cameras and AI video analytics that help improve passenger experience by reducing waiting time at passenger touchpoints. GHIAL has collaborated with technology partner AllGoVision Technologies, in this implementation. India's aviation, shipping ministries sign MoU to develop seaplane services India’s ministry of state for ports, shipping, and waterways has signed a pact with the ministry of civil aviation to develop seaplane services across the country. The ministry of state for ports, shipping, and waterways said, “MoU for development of seaplanes services under RCS-UDAN scheme signed between the ministry of state for ports, shipping, and waterways and ministry of civil aviation. Navi Mumbai International Airport to be named after Bal Thackeray The Navi Mumbai International Airport will be named after Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray, according to Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde. The airport, coming up in neighbouring Navi Mumbai, is expected to relieve the pressure on the existing Mumbai international airport. The terminal design takes its inspiration from the national flower of India — the Lotus that symbolises purity and elegance. The futuristic design aims to blend modernity with Indian ethos in an effortless manner. The airport is designed by the architectural firm Zaha Hadid.
