Bengaluru airport handles 24K ornamental fish from Thailand The Kempegowda International Airport in the Karnataka capital recently received a consignment of 24,200 ornamental fish from Thailand for an importer in Kerala, "Bengaluru airport processed a consignment of 24,200 ornamental fish recently. The consignment arrived at Bengaluru airport from Thailand," said an airport official. Later, the fish were transported to Kerala's Kozhikode, after approvals from the Customs Department and the animal quarantine services in Bengaluru. Expansion of Thoothukudi airport runway begins The Thoothukudi airport is all set for runway widening and extension to handle wide-bodied aircraft. ‘Bhoomi puja’ for widening the runway with Blast pad, RESA (runway end safety area), Taxiway, Apron, GSE area, Isolation bay and miscellaneous works commenced last weekend.  The ritual marked the commencement of excavation for widening of existing runway from 30 meter to 45 meter by constructing 7.50 m wide pavement on either side of runway edge to handle Code-4C type aircraft like Airbus 321-200 and Boeing 737-800. HYD Airport unveils Multi ULD Cool Dolly for pharma and perishables GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL) rolled out Multi ULD (Unit Load Device) Cool Dolly service to maintain the unbroken cold chain for time and temperature-sensitive (TSS) shipments such as pharmaceuticals and perishables.  Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL, said, “Cool Dolly is a crucial value addition to the unbroken cold chain at Hyderabad International Airport for life saving and temperature-sensitive cargo. With more than 70 percent of cargo being pharma, our Cool dolly has enhanced the airport’s capabilities multi-fold in our efforts to provide customers safe handling of the essential cargo such as Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines, Fruits, Vegetables and other perishables.” Union Civil Aviation Ministry sets the stage for 1100 acres Greenfield Airport at Uttarakhand's Pantnagar A pre-feasibility report was submitted by Aviation Secretary Pradeep Kharola and Airport Authority of India chairman Arvind Singh to Uttrakhand Chief Minister  Trivendra Singh Rawat. It is learnt that Kharola and Singh submitted the report giving a 'yes' to 1100 acre land for Greenfield airport at Pantnagar after inspecting the land earmarked for the project. Vistara Receives First Airbus A321neo, Becomes First Airline In South Asia With Lie-Flat Beds On Narrowbody Jet Vistara on 24^th July received its first Airbus A321neo, thus strengthening its commitment to expanding international operations. The aircraft - which is part of the order of 50 from the Airbus A320 Family signed in 2018 - arrived in Delhi from Airbus’ production facility in Hamburg, Germany. This addition makes Vistara the first airline in South Asia to offer lie-flat beds on a narrowbody aircraft and one of the few such airlines across the world. Vistara today also revealed the new cabin products for its A321neo aircraft, which includes world-class cabin interiors and features. Mr Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer, Vistara said “This new addition to our fleet reinforces our long-term commitment to international expansion plans, despite the challenges of the current times.
