Ethiopian Airlines to Commence Flights to Chennai
Ethiopian Airlines is set to commence a new thrice weekly operations to Chennai effective from 2nd July operated by Boeing 737-8 aircraft. Chennai will join the vast Ethiopian network as a fourth destination in India after New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Ethiopian started its service to India with a debut flight to New Delhi in 1966. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr Mesfin Tasew said “I am excited that we are getting closer to our customers with our signature service and global connectivity options. We have been connecting Asia and Africa for 55 years now facilitating trade between the two continents. The addition of Chennai as a fourth passenger destination in India is a testimony of our resilience and unwavering commitment to serve our customers in India and the continent at large. We will continue to serve India with enhanced frequency and more destinations in the future.”
IndiGo Cargo Awarded ‘Indian Air cargo Transport Leader Of Covid Vaccine’
IndiGo announced it has been awarded ‘Indian Air cargo Covid Transport Leader of Covid Vaccine’ at the recently held Cargo India Conference in Mumbai. IndiGo won the award for swiftly transporting COVID vaccines across India during the pandemic. Noida International Airport Selects Tata Projects As EPC Contractor
Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) has selected Tata Projects Ltd. to undertake the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of Noida International Airport (NIA). The company has been selected from three shortlisted teams with demonstrated experience in the design, procurement, and construction of large infrastructure projects. Tata Projects will construct the terminal, runway, airside infrastructure, roads, utilities, landside facilities and other ancillary buildings at Noida International Airport.
Trentar Group Launches Its ‘Made In India’ Fixed-Wing Hybrid VTOL & Electric Propulsion System
The Trentar Group launched its UAV and Propulsion systems at the Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022. The introduction of the UAV and propulsion systems aligns with the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Transfer of Indian Air Force Land To Airport Authority of India (AAI) FOR RCS UDAN
The Indian Air Force has facilitated Working Permission and handing over of Defence Land by Ministry of Defence to Airport Authority of India (AAI) at seven locations, viz, Bagdogra, Darbhanga, Adampur, Utarlai, Sarsawa, Kanpur and Gorakhpur. AAI would now be utilising the existing IAF airfields to operate civil flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) UDAN scheme. Approximately 40 acres of land is being handed over for development of civil terminals and necessary airfield infrastructure for commencing Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) flights.
