Arunachal Pradesh to get a new airport in Hollongi Arunachal Pradesh new Greenfield Airport in Hollongi is to become operational in August. The airport is situated about 15 km away from Itanagar, and will help in connecting the state by air. The airport is to be developed by the Airports Authority of India, with associated facilities of terminal building, city side works, pavements, and airside work. The airport will be available for operations up to size of Airbus A321 category aircraft. Go First goes live on GDS globally Go First (formerly GoAir) is now live in the GDS for the first time with the prefix of W2 acting as marketing carrier. Travel agents can now book GO FIRST flights via their GDS. This will include all routes up to 11 months of the booking date. Discover the World Airline Development Manager Aiden Walsh stated “We are delighted Go First is now available to sell live in the GDS, and we are looking forward to engaging with trade partners and growing offline sales across our selected markets.” India’s Flybig Plans Big Expansion Flybig has plans to add up to 36 more aircraft to its fleet, as domestic demand for travel remains strong, with huge potential coming from the country’s remote regions. A Flybig spokesperson tells Smart Aviation Asia Pacific the Indian market is recovering well from the pandemic and travel within the country is starting to ramp up. The first ATR 72-600 will be operating Indore-Gondia-Hyderabad route effective from 13 March. The second ATR 72-600 will be used on UDAN routes in northeast India. Singapore Airlines Group to operate all flights to & from India under vaccinated travel lane service Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group announced converting all its flights from India to Singapore into vaccinated travel lane services from 16 March.
