Bangalore International Airport enhances passenger sanitation measures
As passenger number increase over 700 hand sanitiser dispenser units and 120 biowaste bins have been placed across the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) complex as part of sanitation and hygienic efforts to ensure safety of passengers. The airport now has an average daily passenger traffic of 24,000 as compared to 13,000 in early June.
GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo launches FTCCI business facilitation centre
GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo (GHAC) has launched the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) business facilitation centre at its terminal in Hyderabad International Airport.
GoAir to add over 100 flights in domestic network
Budget carrier GoAir announced the addition of over 100 new flights in its domestic network, including from its base Mumbai besides other cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai .The airline expects to reach 45% of pre-COVID-19 by 21st September and 60% by 21st September.
IGI Airport exploring alternative solutions for green energy
GMR Group-led consortium DIAL, which operates the IGI Airport here, is exploring alternative solutions for generating green energy, said the company's CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar adding
"We have set up a new benchmark for our partners and stakeholders to follow." DIAL was conferred with the 'Excellent Energy Efficient Unit' award at the National Award for Excellence in Energy Management by CII-GBC.
Qatar Airways to operate flights to 11 Indian cities for limited period
Doha: Qatar Airways will operate ‘special flights’ between Doha and 11 destinations (Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram) in India effective from 6 September 6 to 24 October
