IndiGo strengthens connectivity to Thailand

Boeing Concludes Pilot Roundtable for India

Boeing announced it successfully hosted the inaugural Pilot Roundtable in India. The two-day event drew active participation from the pilot community across India and the South Asian region, featuring delegates from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The round table facilitated the exchange of industry-leading best practices in commercial aviation, focusing on efficiency, innovation and safety. Boeing Commercial Airplanes vice president, Commercial Sales and Marketing for India Ryan Weir said "The Pilot Roundtable underscores Boeing's commitment to supporting the expansion of the civil aviation sector, meeting the demand for pilots and technicians, and fostering self-reliance in the Indian aerospace and defence ecosystem."

First Airbus A350-900 delivered to Air India

Air India welcomed the first of 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, registered VT-JRA msn 554 at Delhi on 23 December signifying a key element of the transformation plan. The delivery flight, operated using a special flight callsign AIC350. Air India’s A350 in a three-class cabin configuration with 316 seats, featuring 28 private Business Class suites , 24 Premium Economy seats , and 264 Economy Class seats. The aircraft will enter commercial service in January 2024, initially operating domestic routes for crew familiarisation with an announcement on long-haul deployment expected shortly.

IndiGo strengthens connectivity to Thailand

IndiGo announced strengthening of connectivity to Thailand with over 25% increase in weekly flights in 2024. The carrier will reinstate Bangalore to Phuket route from 28 February operating six times weekly and add extra capacity on Mumbai to Phuket route from 5 January 2024, operating a total of 56 weekly flights to Thailand from 5 airports in India.  The carrier is responding to business and leisure demand and new visa-free entry to Thailand system introduced.

IndiGo Head of Global Sales Vinay Malhotra said "We are thrilled to announce the addition of new flights connecting India to Thailand, reinforcing our commitment to increasing global connectivity from India. Thailand has always been amongst the sought-after destinations known for its tropical beaches, shopping, entertainment, and ornate temples. With the addition of these flights, IndiGo will connect India to Thailand 56 times a week; taking our weekly flights between Mumbai and Phuket to 13 and Bengaluru and Phuket to 6. IndiGo remains committed to providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across an extensive network for our valued customers.”
