AerCap and Boeing Celebrate 100th Contracted 737-800BCF Delivery

AerCap announced it has taken delivery of its 50th 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF). The aircraft conversion was completed at COOPESA. The aircraft was redelivered to GOL Linhas Aéreas, who will operate the aircraft on behalf of a Latin-American e-commerce company, as part of the growth strategy and logistics solution of GOLLOG, Gol's logistics business unit. Head of AerCap Cargo Rich Greener said “Today, the 737-800BCF is one of the most in-demand narrowbody freighter aircraft in the industry, thanks to its versatility and reliability, making it the perfect choice for express air cargo and e-commerce networks.”

Castlelake Completes Sale-Leaseback with Condor

Castlelake announced the completion of the sale and leaseback of three new Airbus A330neo from Condor with a 15-year lease term. These aircraft have been acquired by a subsidiary of Castlelake Aviation Limited. The first aircraft was delivered on December 19, representing Condor's first new long-haul aircraft under their current fleet renewal program.

CDB Aviation Details Executive Leadership Transition - Jie Chen Appointed as Lessor’s New Chief Executive Officer

CDB Aviation announced that the Board of Directors selected Jie Chen to become the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Chen took the helm in early January 2023, replacing Patrick Hannigan whose retirement caps six years of leading the evolution of CDB Aviation into a globally positioned top-tier lessor. The announcement is the culmination of a planned transition that will ensure a smooth leadership changeover and lay a re-energized foundation for the lessor’s next phase of growth.

NAC signs MOU with GE Aerospace to explore carbon offset program for NAC’s aircraft leasing operations

Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has entered into an MOU with GE Aerospace to explore a CORSIA* compliant carbon offset program that will allow NAC to offset carbon associated with its ferrying of aircraft and its direct employee long-haul business travel. The signing of this MOU represents NAC’s commitment to driving a more sustainable business model. Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) EVP Fleet Operations Brian Power said, “NAC is pleased to work with GE Aerospace on our first program to offset carbon generated from our direct leasing operations.”

VAH Delivered Its Second New Airbus A220-300 in 2022 and Announces Five More A220 Aircraft Under Sale and Leaseback

Voyager Aviation Holdings announced that the lesor has recently delivered another new Airbus A220-300 on long-term lease to Breeze Airways and agreed to provide five more aircraft under a further sale and leaseback transaction. This is VAH’s second A220 delivery from Airbus’s U.S. Manufacturing Site. VAH Executive Chairman Hooman Yazhari said “We are delighted to celebrate the delivery of our second A220 to Breeze in 2022 and to further reinforce our long-term partnership with five additional aircraft.”
