Aergo Capital announces the delivery of two Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Batik Air Malaysia
The delivery of two further B737-8 aircraft to Batik Air Malaysia (Malindo Air) was announced by Aergo Capital. The aircraft are the sixth and seventh of eight to be delivered to the Lion Air Group, and they have the manufacturer serial numbers 43010 and 43014. CEO Fred Browne of Aergo Capital stated, "We are thrilled to deliver the sixth and seventh of eight 737-8 aircraft to the Lion Air group. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of everyone engaged in the transaction and look forward to concluding the final delivery in the upcoming months.”
Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI) Global Aviation Sustainability Day sees launch of first-ever sustainability charter for industry
The first set of ESG and climate-aligned principles for the aviation industry has been unveiled by Aircraft Leasing Ireland (ALI), the industry group that represents the aircraft leasing sector in Ireland. The ALI Sustainability Charter encourages cooperation and aspiration among the lessor community. It is being released in conjunction with the Global Aviation Sustainability Day. The charter was introduced on Thursday, October 27, during the first Global Aviation Sustainability Day.ALI Chairperson and CFO of ORIX Aviation, Marie-Louise Kelly, said “As owners of almost half the global fleet of aircraft, the leasing community has the experience and global influence necessary to move the needle and drive aviation towards a sustainable future. By coming together as an industry, we want to demonstrate our commitment to supporting the wider industry to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.”
