CDB Aviation Takes Delivery of First A330 P2F Freighter
CDB Aviation took delivery of the first freighter aircraft in the lessor’s history, an A330-300 passenger-to-freighter. The aircraft was converted by Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (“EFW”) and is the first of two A330 P2Fs leased to the lessor’s launch customer, Mexico-based cargo carrier, mas. CDB Aviation’s Chief Executive Officer Patrick Hannigan said “This is an important and historic day for CDB Aviation as we see the fruit of two years of intense work and collaboration, culminating in the delivery of our very first A330 P2F since we made the strategic entry into freighter aircraft leasing. We are grateful to the mas team for trusting CDB Aviation to be a partner in supporting their innovative fleet strategy and for being our very first A330P2F customer.”
Clover Aviation Capital completes delivery of one Boeing 737 MAX 9 to Aeromexico
Clover Aviation Capital announced the successful delivery of another Boeing 737 MAX 9 to Aeromexico on 25 April.
Embraer and NAC Agree First Passenger to Freight Conversion Deal for up to 10 E190F/E195F
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) will be a launch lessor of Embraer’s E-Jet Passenger to Freight (P2F) conversions. NAC and Embraer have reached an agreement in principle to take up to 10 conversion slots for E190F/E195F, with first deliveries starting in 2024. Aircraft for conversion will come from NAC’s existing E190/E195 fleet. Nordic Aviation Capital President and CEO Norman C.T. Liu, said, “We look forward to working with Embraer on developing an operator base for the E-Jet Freighter as cargo conversions are a key element of our full life cycle portfolio strategy for the future.”
Goshawk sells Embraer E190 to ACIA Aero Leasing
Goshawk announced the sale of one Embraer E190 aircraft (MSN 19000547) to ACIA Aero Leasing. The sale of the E190 was successfully closed on 6th May.
Investec Aviation Finance closes US$ 40m senior secured debt facility with Corrum Capital, Icelease JV
Investec Aviation Finance has closed a $40m facility with Corrum Capital and Icelease. The funding will finance the acquisition of three 2005 vintage Boeing 737-800 aircraft with sub-leases to WestJet Airlines. The facility will also facilitate the freighter conversion process of the aircraft. The aircraft are being acquired by a joint venture between Corrum Capital and Icelease, set up to capture aircraft cargo conversion opportunities. This JV is an expansion of an existing partnership between Corrum and Icelease.
Montrose Global Completes The Lease Of One DHC-6-300 Aircraft
Montrose Global announced that it has completed the acquisition of one DHC-6-300 aircraft to lease to Soneva Holdings, a luxury resort operator in the Maldives. The aircraft will operate routes from the capital Malé to Soneva’s resorts in the Maldives. This is the second aircraft that Montrose have leased to Soneva Holdings.
