Aergo Capital announces the acquisition and financing of one (1) Airbus A321 aircraft on lease to British Airways
Aergo Capital has completed the acquisition and financing of one (1) 2006 Vintage Airbus A321-200 aircraft bearing manufacturers serial number 2653 from Global Knafaim Leasing. The aircraft was sold with an existing operating lease to British Airways and has been financed by Volofin Capital Management. Fred Browne CEO Aergo stated “This acquisition is another step towards implementing Aergo’s strategy and supports the growth and diversification of our portfolio. We look forward to developing our partnership with British Airways and volofin.”
Aircastle Moves its Fiscal Year-End to Better Coordinate with Parent Company Financial Reporting
Aircastle announced that it has changed its fiscal year end to the twelve-month period ended February. The Company is changing its financial reporting period to better align with the financial reporting cycle of its shareholders, Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho Leasing Co., Ltd. The Company will file a Form 10-QT with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the two months ended February 29, 2020 within the next 45 days. In the future, the Company will file quarterly results for the periods ended May 31st, August 31st and November 30th. In January of 2021, the Company expects to file its Form 10-Q with the SEC for the period from July 1 to November 30 and nine-month period ended November 30, 2020
ASL Airlines Ireland due to take delivery of five ATR 72-600F aircraft
Irish based ASL Airlines are due to take delivery of five brand new ATR-72-600F’s in the coming months to operate on behalf of Fed Ex. The first aircraft is due to be delivered in early 2021 and will be the prototype of the new variant of the freighter, c/n 1653 and will be registered EI-GUL. The aircraft will undergo several months of testing before the aircraft in due to be delivered to ASL Airlines and operate in the colours of Fed Ex in early 2021.
CDB Aviation Agrees to Lease Additional Six A321neos to Wizz Air
CDB Aviation announced today an extension of the company’s relationship with Wizz Air with an additional sale and leaseback transaction for a batch of six Airbus A321neo aircraft. Wizz Air is expected to receive four A321neos in the fourth quarter of 2021, with the remaining two slated for the second quarter of 2022. The aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines and similarly configured with the widest single-aisle cabin with 239 seats in a single-class layout.
Milestone becomes first leasing customer for multi-mission H160
Milestone Aviation and Airbus Helicopters have agreed to include six H160s in Milestone’s orderbook. The helicopters will be destined for a range of missions including offshore transportation and emergency medical services, the first of which is set to deliver in 2023. Milestone Aviation CEO Pat Sheedy said “Today’s announcement will see us enhance our orderbook to include the H160 which we believe will be an important player in the market in the years ahead. It is a versatile, multi-mission aircraft with the opportunity to be used in a number of scenarios, particularly serving EMS operations. It will be a valuable addition to our fleet and we’re already in discussion with operators to place the aircraft into service as soon as they are available.”
