AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly: Demand is ‘fairly robust around the world’
AerCap CEO Aengus Kelly said demand is “fairly robust around the world”. “I would say that for the last year and a half or so, certainly for used airplanes, the EMEA market, European, Middle East, Africa, has led the way. But we still see solid demand out of the US as well”.
AerCap Celebrates the Delivery of the First Airbus A350-900 Aircraft to Sichuan Airlines
AerCap announced 8 August the delivery of the first of three new Airbus A350-900 aircraft to Sichuan Airlines on a long-term operating lease from AerCap’s order book with Airbus. In 1995, AerCap leased to Sichuan Airlines their first Airbus A320, the first aircraft of its type in China, and in 2010 the airline took delivery of their first Airbus A330, on operating lease from AerCap.
Avolon Delivers One Airbus A320neo To Air India
Avolon announced 30 July the delivery of one Airbus A320neo aircraft to Air India. This is the 13th Avolon aircraft on lease to Air India.
CDB Aviation Lease Finance completes first transaction with SAS, delivering 6 A320-200neos
CDB Aviation announced the last delivery of a fleet of six Airbus A320-200neo aircraft to Scandinavia’s largest airline, SAS, as part of a sale and leaseback transaction commenced in March 2017. “We are delighted to conclude our first transaction with SAS by delivering the last of six A320neos,” said CDB Aviation Chief Commercial Officer Patrick Hannigan. “The scale of this transaction underscores CDB Aviation’s commitment to delivering a unique global aircraft leasing platform with the customized fleet options our lessee customers need, one aircraft or an entire fleet at a time.”
CDB Aviation Leases Three 737-800s to Nordwind Airlines
CDB Aviation announced 1 August the agreement with a Russian carrier, Nordwind Airlines for a long-term lease of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the lessor’s order book with Boeing.
NAC sold one ATR 72-600, MSN 1497, to Compagnie Aérienne Inter Régionale Express
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) confirmed 2 August that it has sold one ATR 72-600, MSN 1497, to Compagnie Aérienne Inter Régionale Express.

Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) confirmed 2 August that it has delivered one ATR 42-600, MSN 1204, to Easyfly S.A on lease.
ORIX To Acquire 30% Stake In Avolon With An Enterprise Value Of US$23.7BN
Avolon announced 8 August that ORIX through its wholly owned subsidiary ORIX Aviation, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 30% stake in Avolon from Bohai Capital. The Transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and Bohai shareholder approval. Bohai’s largest shareholder, HNA Group, has provided its commitment to the Transaction. The Transaction is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2018.
