Air Lease Corporation Announces Lease Placement of Seven New Airbus A321neo LR Aircraft with Aer Lingus Air Lease Corporation announced 6 March long term lease agreements with Aer Lingus for seven new Airbus A321neo LR aircraft to operate on transatlantic and other routes. The aircraft are from ALC’s order book with Airbus. Deliveries of the aircraft is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2019, with three deliveries in 2019 and four deliveries in 2020. Avolon publishes analysis of China’s Domestic Airline Industry Avolon published 3 March a White Paper titled ‘The Land of Silk and Money’. This paper, the first of a two-part series, looks at the development, growth and gradual maturing of China’s domestic airline industry. The paper identifies key drivers of growth; and forecasts domestic air travel demand over the next decade. The paper examines the factors that influence the development of commercial aviation in China including: economic and demographic trends; aviation infrastructure; and the industry’s regulatory framework. CDB Aviation Lease Finance Delivers One Airbus A320-200neo to SAS CDB Aviation Lease Finance announced 2 March the delivery of one new Airbus A320-200neo aircraft to Scandinavia’s largest airline, SAS. The aircraft represents CDB Aviation’s first delivery of a total of six A320-200neos as part of a sale and leaseback transaction with the flag carrier. Flybe acquires Dash 8 Q400s from NAC Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has completed the sale of 10 Bombardier Dash 8-Q400s to UK-based regional carrier Flybe.. This transaction involved MSNs 4187, 4191, 4195, 4204, 4209, 4323, 4332, 4333, 4338 and 4380. NAC completes acquisition of 25 Air Lease Embraer E-Jets Danish regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) has completed the acquisition of 20 Embraer E190s and five E175s from US-based Air Lease Corp. (ALC) This latest transaction, which was originally announced in June 2016, marks the second deal between the two lessors. In January, NAC completed the acquisition of 25 ATRs from ALC.
