Catherine Kearns appointed general counsel at SKY Leasing
Ms Catherine Kearns has been appointed as general counsel of SKY Leasing, based in Dublin. BBAM and Lufthansa Cargo Sign Leases for Two Airbus A321P2F Aircraft
BBAM Limited Partnership (BBAM) announced an agreement for the lease of two Airbus A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft on long-term leases. The Airbus A321P2F aircraft will be leased to Lufthansa Cargo on long-term leases from BBAM. “We are glad to provide Lufthansa Cargo with a new tool to help maximize its cargo operations,” said Steve Zissis, President and Chief Executive Officer of BBAM. “We see new life for our A321s as converted freighters that are highly efficient and offer many benefits for cargo operations. BBAM has become a leader in the converted freighter market as we look to offer our airline clients and investors with a new solution to maximize value.”
CRA advises AerCap and GECAS on leasing merger in EU and US
A CRA team led by London VP Oliver Latham and Brussels VP Raphaël De Coninck, including Roman Fischer, Gaëtan Lelièvre, Balázs Csullag and Jonathan Frisch, advised both parties in preparation and during the proceedings in front of the European Commission and multijurisdictional filings across the world. A CRA team led by Washington-DC based VP Yianis Sarafidis, and including Steve Kletter, Keler Marku, and Ishuwar Seetharam, advised the parties for the US DOJ review.
Dublin-based Aircraft Lessor Griffin Global Asset Management Orders Five Boeing 737-8 aircraft
Boeing and Griffin Global Asset Management announced the aircraft lessor is expanding its commercial aircraft portfolio with five new 737-8 jets. The purchase is Griffin’s first direct order with Boeing as it sees strategic opportunities to place the airplanes during the market recovery. Griffin Global Asset Management CEO & Founder Ryan McKenna said “As market conditions rebound, we are finding opportunities to serve our airline customers in innovative ways. An important component of this strategy is providing balanced capacity that meets returning passenger demand. The 737-8 is well-positioned to support this objective, and this order lays a strong foundation for more to come with Boeing and Griffin on future opportunities.”
NAC delivers one ATR 72-600 to Windrose Aviation on lease
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced the delivery of one ATR 72-600, MSN 1251, to Windrose Aviation Company LLC on lease.
