Air Lease Corporation Announces Lease Placement of One Additional New Airbus A321neo LR Aircraft with Aer Lingus Air Lease Corporation announced 12 October a long term lease agreement with Aer Lingus for one additional new Airbus A321neo LR aircraft. The aircraft, delivering in June 2019, will be the eighth A321neo LR leased to the airline and is from ALC’s order book with Airbus. Steven F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation said "As part of the long great relationship between Aer Lingus and ALC, Aer Lingus will be leasing an eighth A321neo LR aircraft from ALC. ALC is proud to be part of Aer Lingus’ continuing fleet transition to the A321neo LR." AerCap facing greatest fleet exposure to Monarch collapse Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that US-listed lessor AerCap manages nine aircraft leased to the grounded carrier, including two owned by its AERLS 2007-1 ABS Portfolio securitisation. These comprise one 14-year-old A320 (MSN 2142) and eight A321s with an average age of 14.7 years. All of the 10 A320s operated by Monarch are powered by CFM International CFM56 engines, while its 25 A321s are powered by International Aero Engines V2500s. Avolon delivers one Airbus A320-200Neo to Air India Avolon announced 9 October the delivery of one Airbus A320-200Neo aircraft to Air India. This is the seventh Avolon aircraft on lease to Air India. GECAS Extends Relationship with AirBridgeCargo Airlines GECAS has acquired a 747-8 freighter (MSN 63378) from Boeing Capital Corporation and will continue the existing aircraft lease with AirBridgeCargo. This transaction expands GECAS’ decade-long relationship with the airline, who operate an all-747 fleet including two 747-400ERFs from GECAS. Richard Greener, GECAS’ SVP & Manager Cargo said "We are pleased to continue our support of AirBridgeCargo Airlines with this acquisition. The 747-8F provides approximately 20 tonnes of additional revenue freight versus the 747-400F, along with efficient GEnx-2B67 engines." NAC purchased ten ATR 72-600 aircraft from Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras and delivered three new ATR 72-600s to the airline on lease Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced 13 October that it has purchased ten ATR 72-600 aircraft from Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras and delivered three new ATR 72-600s to the airline on lease. Nordic Aviation Capital Chairman Martin Moller said "We are delighted to have completed this transaction with such a valued customer like Azul. We see strong demand for the ATR 72-600 both now, and in the future, so we are taking the opportunity to acquire a large number of top quality aircraft from Azul. This is not the first time we have purchased and remarketed aircraft from Azul and the response from the new operators of these aircraft has been so positive that we have decided to acquire even more aircraft.
