ACIA Aero Leasing Adds New Customers in Europe and Asia
ACIA Aero Leasing announced the addition of two new lessees, Fly LeOne in Italy and NXT Air in Bangladesh, as the lessor continues to expand its customer base in major markets across the world. “We have had an extremely busy 2021 so far, with aircraft transactions on every major continent,” asserted ACIA Aero Leasing Chief Executive Officer Mick Mooney. “These two lease transactions are further evidence of ACIA’s focus on growth, our ability to execute transactions in challenging jurisdictions, and deliver aircraft in spite of the Covid-19-related disruption facing the aviation sector. Thanks to both of our new lessees for trusting us to deliver.”
Airborne Capital and Mercuria Investment Group agree aviation finance joint venture in Japan
Airborne Capital and Mercuria Investment Holdings Co., Ltd announced the agreement, between Airborne and Mercuria’s subsidiary Mercuria Investment Co., Ltd., to enter into a joint venture for the operation of a new entity in Japan, called “Mercuria Airborne Capital Co., Ltd.”. Airborne Capital CEO Ramki Sundaram said “We are delighted to partner with Mercuria and expand on our already successful operations in Japan. Mercuria Airborne Capital will offer institutional investors in Japan access to a growing range of attractive investment opportunities in the global aviation finance sector.”
Falko announces the Lease of 5 new ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft to IndiGo
Falko Regional Aircraft Limited announced the lease of five new ATR72-600 aircraft to IndiGo via its Irish leasing platform. The aircraft will all be delivered before the end of 2021.
NAC completes delivery of ten E190s to Breeze Airways on operation lease
Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) announced the completion of a ten E190 aircraft transaction with Breeze Airways. From the delivery of the first E190 in February 2021 through to the tenth in August. Nordic Aviation Capital CCO Jim Murphy said “Despite an extremely difficult environment, the smooth placement of ten aircraft with Breeze Airways is really remarkable. Delivering aircraft can be difficult at the best of times; however, for such a large project to run so smoothly is a testament to the expertise and resilience of both teams.”
SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Airbus A321NEO to Scoot
SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Airbus A321NEO aircraft (MSN 10805) equipped with two (2) PW1133G-JM engines to Scoot. This is the first of six A321NEO aircraft to deliver to Scoot from SMBC Aviation Capital, with the second aircraft scheduled to deliver in late September.
