Aersale Selects Precision B757-200Pcf Modification Kits For Its Recent Acquisition Of 24 B757-200 Aircraft Precision Aircraft Solutions announced that it has been awarded a contract from AerSale to supply Precision B757-200PCF modification kits for AerSale’s 757-200 aircraft. AerSale recently announced the acquisition of (24) 757-200s, and work has already begun to install Precision’s premier 757-200PCF conversion kit on AerSale’s first aircraft, MSN 29594 which was manufactured in 1999. ASL Aviation Holdings Confirms It Will Exercise Options For 10 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters ASL Aviation Holdings DAC (ASL) has confirmed today that it is taking up 10 options for the 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter. This follows the original agreement with Boeing for 10 firm orders and 10 options, announced at the Paris Air Show in June 2019.The first 737-800BCF aircraft for ASL was delivered and entered service last month with ASL Airlines France. The second aircraft will be accepted by ASL’s joint-venture airline, K-Mile Asia this month and is expected to enter service in early April from its Bangkok Suvarnabhumi base. This will be the first 737-800BCF registered in Thailand. Four aircraft are currently under conversion, and another two aircraft are due for induction in the coming weeks. ORIX Aviation signs a Service Agreement for a package of 14 B737 MAX8 and B787-9 aircraft ORIX Aviation have been appointed as the exclusive remarketing agent in respect of a package of fourteen aircraft, consisting of twelve B737 MAX-8 (LEAP 1B engines) and two B787-9 (Trent 1000 engines), on behalf of the secured financiers of the aircraft. All 14 aircraft are currently leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle. SMBC Aviation Capital delivers Airbus A320neo to SAS SMBC Aviation Capital announced the delivery of one (1) Airbus A320neo aircraft (MSN 10407) equipped with two CFM LEAP 1A-26 engines to SAS. Two students awarded Women in Aviation Scholarship from GECAS and University of Limerick GECAS and the University of Limerick School of Engineering, have announced first-year students Erin Lynch (Meath) and Clodagh Kearns (Cork) as the recipients of this year’s Women in Aviation Scholarship. Erin and Clodagh will each receive a €5,000 bursary for each year of their studies, resulting in a total of €20,000 over the course of their studies. The Women in Aviation Scholarship is awarded to individuals based on academic achievement and passion for aviation. Sarah Hartnett, Director of Development, University of Limerick Foundation said, “The fact that GECAS has chosen to award two student scholarships this year is a testament to the high calibre of female student in this area.  We thank GECAS for their leadership and generosity, and hope that these scholarships will encourage more young women to consider the fantastic career opportunities that exist in engineering and the aviation industry”.
