AerCap Delivers 767 to Atlas Air Worldwide
AerCap Holdings N.V. announced 18 May it has delivered a Boeing 767-300ER to a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. a leading global provider of outsourced aircraft and aviation operating services. The Boeing 767-300ER, powered by GE engines, was manufactured in 1997 and is the seventh of eight 767-300ERs AerCap is delivering to Atlas Air Worldwide.
Avolon celebrates delivery of the world’s first Boeing 737 MAX to Malindo Air
Avolon on 16 May celebrated the delivery of the world’s first Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to Malindo Air. The delivery took place during a special ceremony at Boeing’s 737 Delivery Centre in Seattle where Avolon, Boeing and CFM International, the aircraft’s engine manufacturer, were present. Avolon has commitments for 60 Boeing 737 MAX 8/9 aircraft, delivering through to 2021. This is Avolon’s fifth aircraft on lease to Malindo Air, and is part of a portfolio of 19 aircraft currently on lease to Lion Air Group.
Intrepid Announces Delivery of 7th A330-300 To Turkish Airlines
Intrepid Aviation announced 12 May the hand over of an A330-300 aircraft on long-term lease to Turkish Airlines – this marks the seventh and final Rolls-Royce powered A330 to be delivered under its agreement with the Istanbul based flag carrier. “We are pleased to successfully conclude this program and look forward to a long partnership with Turkish Airlines,” commented Doug Winter, Intrepid’s President & Chief Commercial Officer.
Kalitta Air Takes Delivery of Leased 747-400F Factory Freighter from GECAS
Kalitta Air took delivery of the first of two leased 747-400F factory freighters from GECAS on 18 May, marking a new milestone in the decade-long relationship of the two companies. While GECAS has previously provided debt financing to Kalitta on several 747-400’s (both factory and converted freighters), this delivery is the first aircraft on lease to Kalitta from GECAS.
SMBC Aviation Capital delivers first of three Boeing B737-800s to Jet Airways in a three aircraft deal
SMBC Aviation Capital announced 18 May that it has delivered a Boeing B737-800 aircraft MSN 37743 to Indian airline, Jet Airways. This delivery forms part of a three aircraft deal with Jet, with the remaining two aircraft (MSN 37745 and MSN 37746) scheduled to deliver at the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018.
