Milestone Aviation delivers first S-92® to Caverton Helicopters
The Milestone Aviation Group announced that it has recently delivered a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter to Caverton Helicopters Limited. This marks the first S-92 to be operated by Caverton and the first to be operated by a wholly locally-owned African company. Michael York, Head of Emerging Markets at Milestone said “The S-92 continues to be the workhorse of the offshore sector and through this transaction, we are not only cultivating a new operator for this aircraft type but expanding its footprint which is critical for the industry. This is the sixth aircraft Caverton is leasing from Milestone, complementing the three (3) AW139s and two (2) S-76C++ helicopters and the team has worked hard to put together a creative training program and ‘Entry Into Service’ package for them. These packages are key differentiators for Milestone and illustrate the depth of service capability we offer: bringing tailor-made solutions to our customers with certainty of execution. Milestone is proud to have been selected by Caverton as their leasing partner in this transaction.”
SMBC Aero Engine Lease Closed Sale & Leaseback With Cebu Pacific Air For Eight CFM56-5B4 Engines
SMBC Aero Engine Lease (SAEL) announced the successful closing of a sale & leaseback transaction with Cebu Pacific Air for eight (8) CFM56-5B4 spare engines. Roger Welaratne, Chief Commercial Officer (SAEL) says “We’re extremely pleased to complete this FIRST remarkable multiple sale & leaseback transactions with Cebu Air. Cebu Air is one of most successful and sustainably growing airlines in South East Asia. We are delighted to have established our partnership with them and proud to support their continued growth during the most challenging times for the aviation industry”.
SMBC Aero Engine Lease Closed Sale & Leaseback With Vistara
SMBC Aero Engine Lease (SAEL) announced that the sale and lease back of 3 x CFM LEAP1A spare engines for Vistara has been concluded. Akinori Kojima, Managing Director and CEO (SAEL) said “We’re extremely pleased to complete these sale & leaseback transactions with Vistara over the course of 2020. Vistara has grown to become one of the leading international full-service carriers in South Asia and we believe these spare engines will continue to support their A320 NEO / A321 NEO fleet operations. Voyager Announces the Lease Conversion of One 747-8F
Voyager Aviation announced that it has entered into an agreement with AirBridgeCargo Airlines to convert the operating lease on one (1) of the Company’s 747-8F aircraft into a finance lease. The aircraft remains on lease to the current lessee, AirBridgeCargo.
