Aircastle Limited Completes Merger with Affiliates of Marubeni and Mizuho Leasing Aircastle announced that it has completed the previously announced merger with an entity controlled by affiliates of Marubeni Corporation and Mizuho Leasing Company, Limited . The closing of the transaction follows the receipt of regulatory approval from all government authorities required by the merger agreement and approval by Aircastle's shareholders. Upon consummation of the merger, pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement, Aircastle became an affiliate company of MM Air Limited, an entity controlled by affiliates of Marubeni and Mizuho Leasing, and Marubeni Aviation Holding Coöperatief U.A. Under the terms of the merger agreement GATS Stimulated Transaction Environment Live from 1 March The Global Aircraft Trading System (GATS) electronic platform (the GATS Platform) is scheduled to launch on 1 April 2020. For a one-month period commencing 1 March 2020 the functionality of the GATS Platform will be made available to the public in ‘simulation mode’ (the Simulated Transaction Environment). The Simulated Transaction Environment will allow prospective GATS lessors, financiers, airlines, trustees, professionals, and others the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the GATS Platform, and train employees and other personnel on how to use the GATS Platform. The Commission grants new Operating Licence to Sonas Aviation Limited The Commission for Aviation Regulation (26th March) issued a new Operating License to Sonas Aviation Limited. Sonas Aviation, based at Shannon Airport, will engage primarily in the operation and management of private and corporate aircraft.
