AerCap Confirms Placement of Five Embraer E190-E2 Jets to Air Astana AerCap announced 1 August it has confirmed placement of five Embraer E190-E2 jets to Air Astana, the national carrier of Kazakhstan. The aircraft, on long term lease from AerCap’s order book with Embraer, will begin delivering to Air Astana in the last quarter 2018. AerCap is the launch lessor customer of Embraer’s E-Jets E2 second generation of this family of commercial aircraft with a total of 50 Embraer E190-E2s and E195-E2s on order. Avolon reports 2Q fleet, customer growth following CIT acquisition Avolon’s fleet of owned, managed and committed aircraft doubled to 921 in the 2017 second quarter, compared to 443 aircraft in 2Q 2016, the company reported 31 July. Avolon’s committed aircraft includes an MOU for 75 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, with purchase options for an additional 50 MAX 8s, announced at the Paris Air Show in June. This is the final aircraft to deliver as part of a two-aircraft lease deal signed in 2017. PIA inducts 12th Boeing 777 into fleet from Irish aircraft lessor Macquaire Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has inducted 12th Boeing 777 aircraft into its fleet. The aircraft has been taken on dry lease from Macquarie, an Ireland-based leasing company, for a period of six years. With the induction of Boeing 777-300, the PIA now has 12 Boeing 777 aircraft. Stobart Buys Three Embraer E195 Jet Aircraft On Lease To Flybe Stobart Group Ltd announced 28 July said its aircraft leasing business, Propius Ltd, has signed an agreement with a special purpose company managed by GOAL German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co KG to purchase three Embraer E195 aircraft.
